How to get there

Entebbe International Airport is Uganda's principal international gateway.

What to find

Overview

Entebbe, on a peninsula on the shores of Lake Victoria, was Uganda's colonial capital until independence in 1962. Today it's home to the country's main international airport, and it's green, quiet and relaxed compared with Kampala.

It's the natural first or last stop of a Uganda trip, with enough to fill a day on your arrival or before your flight home.
