Overview
The Uganda Museum, founded in 1908, is the oldest museum in East Africa. Its current building on Kira Road in Kampala opened in 1954.
Its collections cover Uganda's ethnography, archaeology, palaeontology and natural history. It's a good place to understand the country's many cultures before or after a safari.
